Sarah's Shop News

01-06-2011

Just a brief note from me (Sarah) to keep you up to speed with what I have been doing in the village shop.

I have moved the Electricity account from nPower to Ecotricity. Although it costs more money, I felt it was important to maintain the ethos of the shop. I am very pleased to have sourced local water, both still and sparkling, and that Devonia requests that you return the glass bottles to be recycled and used again. More recycling news: I have found a man with pigs; he calls every couple of days and takes any rotten veg and out of date bread off my hands. I have also started a BookSwap on the shelves next to the Dairy Refrigerator, so if you'd like to come along and take a look, feel free to bring a book to swap and take your pick; I am also hoping that this will be of use to holidaymakers when they are in the area.

I am still hoping we can enlarge the patio area in the near future so that I can have more tables out as the weather continues to improve. We are now serving Devon Cream Teas - two delicious scones, a pot of tea for two, and plenty of jam and cream - just 4.75
